Yep, I am a born and bred Dutchman as well, but moved down under 16 years ago.
I drive road trains here in Australia, I live in perth and drive north to the mines.
Having your dream realised is not easy mate, driving a road train is not something like you do, these raod trains are a lot different than the trucks on the road in Holland.
The trucks used in Holland is what we call a HC (heavy combination) truck an if I remember correctly the max length there is about 18 to 24 meters (please don't quote me on that), the road trains here are a lot longer and heavier, and with that you need a bigger license, what we call a MC ( multi combination) license and you ahve to have driven a normal truck with an australian license for a minimum of 1 year before you can upgrade to a HC or MC license.
I can tell you a lot, but that would be tooo long story for this forum, maybe if you contact me directly using my email address we can correspond better.

I am from The Netherlands, have been a driver for a while, but switched and have several other proffesions. Now I am running my own business in unique insulation materials... I always love to drive and have still this dream, to drive a roadtrain. When someone would give me an oppurtunity so I could make a dream come true... please do and I will not let it down. I would fill my holidays with it...
