We don’t need offshore drilling, just inflate your tires and get a tune-up. I’m not sure the Republicans have learned their lesson and will stop spending like drunken sailors on shore leave, but it will be better than people (Democrats) that want to conserve our way out of a crisis. It worked in the 70′s, it can work again right? Found a new site with some video’s about Congress and the lack of drilling, along with the Obama inflate your tires video. Peter Nickel.com
It seems Obama’s and the Democrats’ only platform is – Vote for us and we’ll give you money. You won’t have a job, or be able to afford food or gas, but we’ll give you a pittance so vote for us. People love getting handouts. Some truckers want to strike for a fuel handout. People must have really thought that last Incentive check. It must have made such a difference they want to do it again. It seems so simple, economics 101, but most politicians don’t really live in the economy, have never owned a business or had other people rely on them for work and a payroll.
The only argument you hear about fuel prices is the Oil Companies make too much money. Exxon-Mobil is the biggest company on the planet, they better be making some serious money. The profit margin isn’t much and there are plenty of industries and companies that are making a lot more profit if you look at the percentages, but why let the facts get in the way.
Just like that post What Will it Take? The Democrats overused answer is the oil companies have leases they aren’t drilling on. That’s getting really old, why drill where there isn’t any oil? They have to buy the lease to even explore or check if there’s oil. If there isn’t any profit in it, they’re not going to drill for the fun of it.
The answers are so simple. Use our own resources wisely for our own security, lower taxes that encourage investment in jobs and equipment instead of shipping our jobs overseas then importing everything instead of building anything ourselves.
Sometimes I feel like we get what we deserve and it’s going to take something drastic to get us back on the right track. (Right… get it?) We needed a Carter to appreciate a Reagan. Someone like Ron Paul or a the Libertarian party have the right ideas, but I feel it’s not their time. After four years of the Messiah Barack we’ll be ready for someone like Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul or hey, how about someone that has actual corporate experience? People have always said the want the country to be run like a company and to make a profit and stop the waste, but every time a corporate type has run they don’t get very far.

Thanks for the link and the mention. I’m still working on the site and probably not posting enough, but I’m tired of the lack of action about our idiotic energy policies. It’s been like this for years thanks to the Greens getting their way and now they seem to be just too strong and have such a hold over Congress and a lot of the States that no one can do anything.
The problem with most of the Environmentalist in power is they don’t want us to manage our resources in the best possible way, they want us to go back to candle light and horses. Nothing else seems to satisy these people.
