Sounds like my cell phone. . .military specs. I have no idea if the camera works because any pictures I took with it would be lousy anyway. But I DO like the fact that, when if falls off the visor when I open the door on the scale and slams into the cement sending battery and cover and phone in different directions, after I fish all the parts out from under the trailer and put it back together, it works just fine. I also enjoy when the cell phone company calls and tries to sell me the newest gadget that I can tell them, "No, thanks-I'm perfectly happy with the one I have." I CAN read my email with it if I need to-and it CAN connect to the internet, even connect to my laptop. . .if ya wanna surf at fax speed! I dont worry about it getting stolen-no self-respecting gang-banger would be caught dead with "the brick".

Love the old field phone, by the way! Dad had couple in his old army footlocker in the garage-he was a radio man at the Battle of the Bulge. Now, those were some high technology for 1945! We used to try to make them work when we were kids, but those old batteries (Looked like a D-cell on steroids) wouldnt hold a charge even if you could figure out how to charge them.

Ah, Grumpy, do ya think we're getting old?
