Since I’ve seen my dear *old* husband. It has been a full semester at school since the boys have seen dad. It has been many missed events since he has been on the road.
My best friend always tells me she doesn’t know how I “do it”, meaning being here with the boys by myself while the hubby is gone. It’s simple, we have an unlimited cell plan which helps A LOT! Not to mention the wonderful Internet.
Sure there are things he misses and I know there are things we miss as well, but we are thankful that he at least has a job. Anymore you have to find the positive things (so it seems) in any situation.
I used to be one of those people, many years ago, that would look at thinks in a negative way. I soon found out that the more I was around negative people, the more I too looked at things from that perspective.
Sometimes it may seem difficult to find a good thing when a bad thing happens, but it can be done if you have a little hope. I guess that’s why we deal with him being gone 70 days from home. We know though when he comes home we will hear stories of where he has been, see pictures of great places, and usually we get at least a postcard.
So what seems like months on end to some people, seems likes days or hours to us once we see that KW coming around the corner. All I can say is thank goodness for modern technology!
Be safe out there everyone!

Attitude is everything. I am such a firm believer in keeping positive. If things are rough and a person goes negative, what do they have?
