I got up this morning. As is my custom the first thing I did was drink copious amounts of very strong coffee and light up a ceegar. And read the news.
Generally reading the news is one of the last things I do before I go to sleep the night before, and the first thing I do in the morning when I wake up. Internet addiction does that to you. I’ve been doing this for years now.
I feel that I’m fairly “up” on current events, politics, and especially new technology. In an “overview” sense rather than in an “in detail” sense. In other words I scan a lot of headlines relative to the number of articles I actually read.
Last night, among other things, I read about the “California Tax Revolt” as well as Obama’s declaration from on high that all new cars must average 42 miles per gallon. Never mind that that will increase the safety hazard dramatically and insure a huge increase in traffic fatalities.
In Louisana a man was stopped for having an “extremest” bumper sticker. “Dont tread on me”….duh…where have I heard THAT before?
In Arizona the EPA States that “
“Schools that do not contain asbestos-containing material must still
develop a management plan that identifies a designated person and
includes the architect’s statement or building inspection and the
annual notification to parents, teachers, and employees regarding the
availability of the plan.”
(NO ASBESTOS…yet all the paper work must be maintained as if there WAS asbestos.
Janet Napolitano, the failed Governor of Arizona who was appointed to be Chief of Homeland Security issued a report….citing a number of groups as being “potential right wing extremists”…among whom were veterans returning home. And southern baptists.
And Carbon Dioxide? The Dreaded CO2 . The government is preparing to spend billions and billions of dollars to fix a non problem. Co2 is NOT a problem. Yet we are to be taxed billions, the economy will be negatively impacted. prices will go up, while in the midst of a global economic depression.
Non problem? Surely global warming is a problem? Nope..The earth has been cooling for the last ten years.
Mean while the democrats push for gun control, while the states with the Least gun control have the least crime.
The FCC thinks it has the right to search your home, any time it wants to with no warrant. Why? Because you probably own a radio, a remote control (tv or garage door) a computer router, or “other devices” and the fact that you own such devices is “implied consent” to search your house.
I could go on, and on, and on.
This morning, on reflection of all of the above and more, I was assaulted by the obvious , in fact you could say I was mugged by reality.
Our Government is Insane.
That’s the only thing that explains their actions.
No need trying to analyze them. No need to try to understand why. No need. It’s impossible.
They’re bug-frickin’ nutz.
Democrats and Republican’s both.
I have no idea what to do about this. It’s surly obvious to others’.
But it’s true. They’re clinically insane.

What type of cigars do you prefer?
Big ones…they last longer.
Really….brand is almost irrelevant…size counts.
That’s what my wife always tells me.
Yep-government IS nutz. . .or is it crazy like a fox? If you notice, everything is about control-they wanna control EVERYTHING!! It’s starting to look like a replay of 1939. “Just obey without question-we know what’s best for you! It is futile to resist!”
This whole deal with the CO2-the Cap & Trade crap: somebody did an in-depth piece on this crap-and how GE owns NBC, MSNBC, CNBC-and how all of these news channels flat refused to report on news unfavorable to our ‘esteemed leader’-to the point where the stockholders are almost in revolt because the news channels wont report the news and are hurting their profits. Turns out, GE has negotiated a business deal that will ‘handle’ the carbon credit trading from this (for a price-like a broker) and stands to make billions from having it pass! And, to make sure it passes without alteration, the Dems actually hired a ’speed reader’ to read the bill aloud as can be required in Congress-the guy can read a page in 34 seconds. Of course, you cant understand anything he says-kinda like an auctioneer. They all thought this was great fun-circumventing the Constitution and the rights of the people to have input! I was highly insulted-talk about treating the taxpayers as a joke to be circumvented. I fired off a few emails to congresspeople here in Michigan, equating Congress to a clown car. But, since they’re all part of this same party, they’ll ignore it. We’ll pay-about double for our energy-and they’ll collect billions! Yup-crazy like a fox!
truckers boycott/CALIFORN/A this seems to be gaining some foothold, i happen to agree with most of the people working on the boycott. It’s time to make some noise and show the goverment of california just how much power WE have. take notice of the word we in the last sentence. The same goes for cheap freight pick one day and call ten brokers and SAYnoooo! It has to start somewhere, how about right behind the steering wheel. Californ/a is the leader of the snakes, lets cut the head off,and let’s not do it gently. OBAMA PRAISED Arnie and the gang in D.C.last week while the people of californ/a destroyed him at the voting booth.Arnies claim to fame my car gets better gas mileage but i just can’t seem to balance my check book. The things to come are going to start in califor/a so while driving thnk about what is comming next. As you enjoy that pretty sunset in the west think about the snakes just over the horizon. The goal is no freight in or out, that will not happen, but WE can put a big dent in the system. comments please, thanks freedomroad .WE need all the dogs on the porch barking. MAKE SOME NOISE!!!!!
The most feared words in the old south…”I’m from the government…and I’m here to help”.
Gives me chills to this day.
