There were two murders the other day.  They have political significance and are instructive in regards to how one should view the news media.

First from the Associated Press.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A man with “political and religious motives” killed a soldier just out of basic training and wounded another Monday in a targeted attack on a military recruiting center, police said. The shootings were not believed to be part of a broader scheme.

Next from the New York Times…

WICHITA, Kan. — George Tiller, one of only a few doctors in the nation who performed abortions late in pregnancy, was shot to death here Sunday in the foyer of his longtime church as he handed out the church bulletin.

Let me summarize.

In Little Rock Arkansas a couple of spankin’ new privates were standing outside the recruiting station, perhaps having a smoke.  We all know that smoking isn’t allowed indoors so one must stand outside and be a target.   They had just recently graduated from Basic and were participating in a program  to attract  “new recruits” to the Army.  As they were standing there a Muslim saw them, drove up…and shot them both.  One died.

Notice how the news media is being VERY careful not to mention that the killer was a Muslim?  Notice that it’s being very cautious about using the word Terrorist?  Can’t have that.  If there are actual terrorists killing Americans on American soil  then Bush and the Republicans might be vindicated.  Must prevent that at all costs.  Apparently if reality and the “higher truth” of the Main Stream Media disagree then reality looses.  The MSM have even admitted to making things up.

In Kansas an abortion doctor was shot to death in a church.  This doctor preformed “late term abortions”.  In other words he aborted fetuses that could live on their own.  He aborted fetuses that were past the developmental stage  of some “premies” that parents labor mightily to save.  I happen to know a few guys, truckers even, who were born premature.  Something to think about.

Interestingly enough (sarcasm) the two murders are not receiving equivalent news coverage. It would seem that To the Media Some Murders Matter More than Others.

I’ve suspected this for some time.  The news media is “anti” a bunch of things.  Many  of the things they’re against I’m for.  Many of the things they’re against I was taught  in Boy Scouts and Church and occasionally in public school when I was growing up as being GOOD Things.  Things like Honesty  ,telling the truth, and patriotism.  That’s apparently irrelevant to the news media.

But don’t question their patriotism.

It is to laugh.  Since about the end of the Viet Nam war I haven’t seen anything patriotic about the news media.

Keep this in mind the next time you hear or read anything in the News.  Ask yourself “I wonder what REALLY happened”.   Ask yourself “How are they twisting it?”.

If it involves certain issues it won’t be too difficult to figure out.  Such as Guns, The Military, Abortion, Trucks, Certain Dogs, Hot Cars,  in fact a whole host of topics near and dear to RedNecks such as myself.

I’m for it and they’re against it.

Sixty percent of the American People self identify as Conservatives.  Newspapers are going out of business in droves, the Major News Media (except for Fox) are losing viewership and thus  losing money by the bucketful.

Imagine that.
