On their new web site http://www.gmreinvention.com and on some new commercials released nationally, G.M. (Gubberment Motors) will try to explain and convince us of all the new changes that will take place under the “watch” of their new Lord and Master, Obama.
They present a most convincing argument, unless of course, you have been paying attention.
I was paying attention.
I currently own, with the bank, a Ford. Had Ford taken “bailout” money, the dealership would have found my new car in their driveway the next morning. (Credit be damned) I also own a Dodge Dakota, I paid cash for this one a few years back, its MINE.
I will not consider, under any conditions, ANY new GM product and I would have to almost steal a pre-owned one. But then, I would not want to advertise for GM in any way.
Because they took taxpayer money, the same goes for Chrysler.
The jury is still out on Ford.
My next new car or truck, will be a non-UAW built, Toyota.
The most obvious solution was studiously ignored by the “Big 3″, the media and especially by the socialist administration that wants very much to nationalize 3 of the largest producers in the U.S.
Conservative pundits said repeatedly that IF the Auto Makers took tax dollars, they would still crash by February. They did.
Had GM filed bankruptcy at the time of the bailout, they could have booted the UAW to the curb where their outdated ideas could have been discovered and pronounced “dead on the scene”. They could have gained control of their assets and “possibly” come back, maybe been able to afford to create cars again, using the ideas they “NOW” explain on their website.
As a tax payer, “I” am a member of the board at GM. I would now cast my vote.
Close the doors, forever.

Wonder if the “new” GM cars are only going to come in green or black?
I will miss my Chevies! It’s a sad state of affairs indeed. I have no problem buying a “foreign” car at all.
I’ve delivered to many auto plants. Go to a GM plant, then go to a Honda plant, then decide what type of car you want to buy. I never had one problem with the Honda folks and they were – NICE! They actually had it within themselves to be civil and speak to a truck driver. GM & UAW workers were, rude, lazy, and never had a good word to say.
Did you see where the the Union workers will not have benefits taxed, but the rest of us will? I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Just the thought of it makes me never want to purchase any UAW vehicle ever again.
I don’t feel sorry for them at all, but I really hate the idea I most likely will never want a new Camaro again.
