So, I’ve been gone for a bit. Life has a way of sneaking up on you from behind and felling you with a 2×4. First, the economy, yeah yeah, I know, old rant and not just mine, but this has been going on for longer than many realize and certainly longer than the gubberment admits to. The trucking industry is always a good indicator of the health of the economy. We may notice before anyone else does.

THEN, of all things, medical care. Cost me a house in a good neighborhood. Still, I would leave things the way they are, before I would ever support the crazy ideas they are trying to shove down our throats. The problem with gubberment run health care is : it’s run by the gubberment… Really, how much more would you need to know?

The crashing (spiraling down the toilet) economy in 2007 didn’t help a lot of course. Ended a great local job pulling end dumps and put me back out on the road full time. Read the rest of this entry »

You’ve been being told for a long time that the media had turned on the American public, some more than others. When someone makes the statement that ABC news is “in bed” with Barack Hussein Obama, you can take it literally. These so called members of the press, are now the “official” news source for the White House and all its twisted dealings.

I suggest that this is just one more example of the Obama administration paying off major players in the DNC’s desperate drive for the Oval Office. Its also the typical bias used by both Obama and the Main Stream Media to  “lie by omission” about things that effect us all.

As planned, Obama will present, as truth, his socialist agenda for YOUR heath care. There will be no oversite, no transparency, no opposing viewpoints will be allowed and a large part of the American public, will stand there bleating, drool dripping from their Koolaid stained lips and believe every word they hear (or don’t hear) as planned by President “Hope and Change” Mr. Transparency himself, Barack Hussein Obama.

Well OK, I doubt “he” planned it. He has “handlers”, There are people being paid to do that, he just presents it. Then he presents the next outrage, then the next.

This time we’re fighting back.

Twitter and Facebook, the big guns of social media, are being brought to bare.

Everyone knows what Twitter is right?  If you don’t, you should. It’s fun, its a great way to stay in touch and it’s almost INSTANT. When that plane went down in the Hudson river a couple of months ago, I knew about it, almost before it hit the water. When the elections in Iran were discovered to be soured, I knew about it, HOURS before the CNN anchors did. (not that I was in the least surprised by it) I get 99.9% of all my World, National and Local news though it. Instead of the failed national media’s daily rhetoric of Obama worship, bile, vomit and hate for conservative women, I get truth, honesty and honesty in opinion, up to the second, second by second.

Then again, I’m a bit of a geek and always have been.

I talk to truckers all over the country, every single day. There are a lot of truckers on Twitter that use it for a lot of the same reasons I do.  Virtually instant nation wide communications about trucking issues and a lot of people to poke fun at too.  Road conditions, storms, DOT checkpoints and virtually anything else you might want to know about. When the DOT, National wide, had their last “lets supplement our budget with trucker pay” contest here a couple of weeks ago I had up to the minute station information, closures, road blocks, etc etc. Some people get email on their phones when an Amber Alert is given, this alert is instantly dumped into twitter and often reaches the other side of the country  before the official word does. Yeah, its fun, but it can be a damn fine tool also.

Warning, there are some serious idiots on Twitter and they want to sell you things that you don’t need or want, they want to offer you “work from home” opportunities or they want you help them smuggle a ga-zillion US dollars in the country  and some of the worst of them are truckers. (Like this surprises any of us…)

Worse yet are those that claim to “want to help” truckers, especially if you are new to the job. They want to “help” you NOT make the mistakes that “SO” many of us have.  Trust me, everyone of these people that I have run into so far, want to “help” themselves to your money, as they sell you a “book of secrets”. There would be your mistake…

Let me make this real plain, if you’re new to the industry and have a question, ASK me, ask one of these other writers here, ask your BOSS.  I probably wont know the answer, but I’ll point you at the guy that does. He’s probably that quiet “old fart” driving for the same outfit you do. Neither one of us is going to “charge you” for information that you deserve.

On their new web site http://www.gmreinvention.com and on some new commercials released nationally, G.M. (Gubberment Motors) will try to explain and convince us of all the new changes that will take place under the “watch” of their new Lord and Master, Obama.

They present a most convincing argument, unless of course, you have been paying attention.

I was paying attention.

I currently own, with the bank, a Ford. Had Ford taken “bailout” money, the dealership would have found my new car in their driveway the next morning. (Credit be damned) I also own a Dodge Dakota, I paid cash for this one a few years back, its MINE.

I will not consider, under any conditions, ANY new GM product and I would have to almost steal a pre-owned one. But then, I would not want to advertise for GM in any way.

Because they took taxpayer money, the same goes for Chrysler.

The jury is still out on Ford.

Here I sit in Oklahoma.

Back around the first of May, I had a medical issue that forced me into emergency surgery followed by a six week convalescence (6 DAMN WEEKS!)

I’ve observed something political that I “KNEW” but have not really articulated.

I come from a family of Democrats,  NO Really!

Those of you that know me or have read my personal blog, are saying to your self; “he’s drunk again, there is NO WAY he comes from a Democrat family”.  “He will attack a liberal at the drop of a hat!”

You’re right, I will, I have been known to start political donnybrooks in the most unlikely of places and have even been known to scream at a TV in a truck stop when  Hussein or his racist wife are speaking. (The TA in Portage IN for one… sorry guys)

Liberals are not Democrats, never have been.

My mom and Dad have been Democrats all their lives. Partisan to the extreme for a long time; Strait party voting Democrats.

I don’t agree with strait party voting anything. Of course, that’s “my” business.

Now here I am in Oklahoma, (The Old Country for my German/Dutch/Native American family)

Oklahoma, the only solid “RED” state in the country. The State that reminded Hussein and his thugs what the word “Sovereign” means. And passed laws to ensure it.

Oklahoma. I’m here because I work for an Oklahoma trucking company. I stayed  here cause I have family that insisted that I remove myself from that crappy motel the company put me in and take an empty room at their place.

Playboy writer Guy Cimbalo wrote an piece of trash called; “Top 10 Conservative Women We’d Love To Hate F**.”

And Playboy.com PUBLISHED IT!

After an almost immediate response by women’s groups, Playboy PULLED the article, but the damage is done.

Unsurprising to me, none of the women’s groups ticked off about this, are so called “Feminist Groups”. Today, Feminists are not about women, but about the promotion of liberal sniveling.

Who is Jason?

Most professional drivers, especially the long haul and /or Eastern regional drivers are all too aware of this issue.

For others I will summarize.

Jason Rivenburg was an interstate trucker from New York State.  Family man, husband, father, just a guy trying to do for his loved ones and himself. Jason was brutally murdered as he sat in the cab of his truck, for approx $7. His killer walked up on him as he sat in an abandoned gas station, off of I 26, waiting for his unload in the morning.

The saddest irony of the whole thing is that Jason had recently been laid off from his job around home and had just come back out to pay the bills. He left behind a 2 year old son and a wife carrying twins. As professional drivers, our world became just a little more dangerous and a  little more empty.

The movement, “Jason’s Law” was started by members of his family to bring some awareness of an age old issue to the public and hopefully to the people that could do something about it.

I’ve kept a close watch on the issue as it’s momentum has built. In the beginning a Google Search for “Jason’s Law” returned in excess of 14 million hits. NO, only one or two of those hits had anything to do with Jason RivenBurg and those were not even on the first page. There are many “Jason’s Laws”.  Today, the same Google Search has a much better return, with an excess of 13 million hits and the first 5 ALL being about Jason.
